You’ve heard of the tooth fairy. But what about the culture fairy? Could your small business use such a thing?
We at Davinci Virtual Office Solutions seem to be doing pretty good with our culture fairy. Let me explain how this works and you can decide for yourself if your very own small business would benefit from a culture fairy.
First, consider that Davinci Virtual, a leading provider of global virtual office solutions, has witnessed incredible growth since its launch in 2006. How incredible, you ask? Well, in just five years, we grown to over $10 million in revenues. We now employ more than 100 people. And our unique corporate culture helped us get there.
Now, we’re making it official. Katie Fronk, a key manager with the company for several years, has been promoted to a curiously unique position titled “The Culture Fairy.” As such, Fronk’s only responsibility is to make sure we have a great company culture and total employee happiness at all times and at all costs.
“Our employees are our absolute greatest asset,” says Bill Grodnik, CEO of Davinci Virtual. “It is critical that we create a work environment where every single team member is happy, healthy and has the tools to succeed—in their career as well as in life.”
Fronk was the unofficial culture fairy until now, having launched initiatives like the organic garden club, an after-hours employee education program, childcare and gym membership discounts, a sponsored weightwatcher program for employees, monthly team building events, a company library, game rooms, free healthy snacks and fruit, employee initiated community support/giving efforts, a new company newsletter and much more.
“Our new culture initiative is by far the most important thing we have ever done and it is the only way this company will be able to continue to grow in a healthy and enjoyable way,” Grodnik says. “We are so pleased with Katie’s work. I am convinced that happy employees make for happy clients.”
So what about your company? Do you need a culture fairy? Do you have an unofficial culture fairy in place that makes the workplace brighter and cheerier? If not, it may be time to look around your small business and see if employees are happy and make some changes, if necessary. Even if your small business is only you, reward yourself for your successes. You deserve it.

Davinci Virtual has been promising a new corporate headquarters that would allow the virtual office solutions provider to bring services to more customers for nearly a year. Today, the Salt Lake City, Utah-based company made good on its promise.
Davinci Virtual hosted a grand opening event for its newly-built North American headquarters this week. The attendant’s list was a who’s who of local political figures and business leaders, including Salt Lake City Mayor Peter Corroon and Chamber of Commerce CEO Marie Marshall.
“We were thrilled to share the opening of our new headquarters with our friends, staff, partners and our community,” says Bill Grodnik, CEO of Davinci Virtual. “The new facilities will allow us to accommodate our rapid growth while providing a great work environment for our team.”
Davinci Virtual’s 25,000-square-foot facility features four virtual support centers, openly configured work spaces for management, finance, sales, customer care, and partner relations and a state-of-the-art technology hub. The new headquarters sets the stage for rapid growth of the company, which was constrained in its previous location.
Think about it for a minute. Davinci Virtual already provides virtual office solutions to more than 7,500 companies and entrepreneurs across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Central America, Asia and Australia. The company also offers over 750 virtual office locations including virtual offices in Miami, virtual offices in Dallas, virtual offices in San Francisco, virtual offices in Atlanta and any other metropolitan area throughout the world. We are very pleased with the outcome.”
At Davinci Virtual, we know that free is always popular. That’s one of the reasons why we launched a free DavinciMeetingRooms.com Member Access Card Program.
“We are excited to launch our member access card program,” says Bill Grodnik, president and CEO of Davinci Virtual. “Now clients can search and book professional meeting space instantly online and take advantage of all member benefits.”

Now clients can reserve professionally equipped day offices, conference rooms and meeting facilities anywhere, anytime via Davinci’s online reservation platform.
Yes, I said anytime, anywhere. And, yes, I said free.

Davinci Virtual makes it our business to help entrepreneurs grow their business. There’s a benefit to that: we’re growing ours. What’s good for our clients is also proving to be good for us—we’re growing by leaps and bounds.
In fact, Inc. magazine just announced its 29th annual Inc. 500 ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. And guess who’s name is on the list? That’s right. Davinci Virtual has made its way onto the Inc. 500 list in 2010 with its virtual office solutions.
Who would have thought a virtual office company would find its way on this list? Bill Grodnik and Martin Senn, to name a couple. The leaders of Davinci Virtual have expressed confidence in the company’s virtual office network model from day one.
“We’re thrilled to have been named by Inc. magazine as one of the nation’s top 500 entrepreneurial companies. It represents tremendous validation of the consistent hard work, innovation and relentless commitment to customer service,” says Bill Grodnik, CEO of Davinci Virtual. “We’ve experienced continued significant growth over the past five years and we are on track to double revenues again this year.”
Wow! Did he say double revenues again? That’s pretty amazing, considering Davinci’s three-year revenue growth is already a whopping 1,899.5 percent. Davinci Virtual ranks number 141 on the list. If you want to see how Davinci Virtual stacks up against other fast-growth companies in related industries, check out the complete Inc. 500 list in the September 2010 issue of Inc. magazine.
“It is great to see Inc. magazine recognizing our company,” says Martin Senn, COO of Davinci Virtual. “We continue to launch new services, exceed our milestones and expand our presence. This award is a great tribute to our hardworking staff.”
Gmail just made virtual office users cheer with a new service that brings Voice over Internet Protocol to Gmail and links it to the Google Voice app. All this means you can make telephone calls from your Gmail interface. This is a virtual office user’s dream that will save you time and money on international calls.
Gmail users have been chatting it up using their PC’s mic and speakers via a service called Google Talk since 2005. But until today Gmail users couldn’t dial into land lines. Both Gmail users had to be sitting behind their computers and signed into Gmail at the same time in order to talk. Now virtual office users can dial landlines from their computers any time and anywhere.
“Given that most of us don’t spend all day in front of our computers, we thought, ‘wouldn’t it be nice if you could call people directly on their phones?’ said Google Software Engineer Robin Schriebman. “Starting today, you can call any phone right from Gmail.”
Here’s how it works: You can dial a phone number in the same familiar way you dial a normal phone. Just click “Call phone” at the top of your chat list and dial a number or enter a contact’s name. If you have a Google Voice phone number, calls made from Gmail will display this number as the outbound caller ID. You can also choose to receive calls made to this number right inside Gmail.
Calls to the U.S. and Canada will be free for at least the rest of the year, Google said, and promised calls to other countries will be billed at very low rates. Schriebman said Google worked hard to make international calling rates “really cheap.” Calls to the U.K., France, Germany, China, Japan — and many more countries — for as little as $0.02 per minute.
This is a great complement to the virtual office space. A virtual office space gives you a prestigious office address, mail forwarding, a lobby greeter, access to a business center and much more. Now, virtual office users can slash the cost associated with international phone calls using Google’s new service.
We’re not ones to toot our own virtual horns, but we will share good news when we get it—and we just got some.
Davinci Virtual has been selected once again as one of the “Emerging Eight” companies in the Utah Business 2010 Fast 50. This is the third consecutive year that Davinci Virtual was selected for this honor.
“This award represents a testimonial to our innovation, continued aggressive growth and dedication,” says Bill Grodnik, CEO of Davinci Virtual. “We are in an exciting space, at the right time, offering superior virtual office solutions for a global market place.”
What is the Fast 50 program? Utah Business Magazine developed the honor to recognize companies for their entrepreneurial spirit, innovative business tactics and dramatic revenue growth. OK, so what’s the significance of the Emerging Eight? Emerging Eight companies are less than five years old—but are hitting the stars. Davinci fits into both of those categories.
Davinci Virtual will join 49 other fast-growth companies—including seven others that have been around for less than five years—in profiles featured in Utah Business Magazine’s September 2010 issue. Davinci Virtual will also be honored at an awards event on August 26th, 2010 led by Utah Governor Gary Herbert.
Just how fast is Davinci Virtual growing? Fast enough to be called the leading provider of turnkey virtual communications and virtual office solutions. Davinci offers virtual office locations and virtual office services in over prime 750 locations, such as New York City, Los Angeles and Miami.
“It is great to see the Utah business community recognizing our company for the third year in a row,” says Martin Senn, COO of Davinci Virtual. “We continue to launch new services, exceed our milestones and expand our presence. This award is a tribute to our hardworking staff.”
